Fits great, fast shipping,greatly,appreciated the advice on choices since I’ve been out of the game for twenty years. Will be used at a tactical range in a few weeks but the pistol fits well out of the box.
Disappointing Retention
I purchased the 4Bros Springfield Hellcat Pro with TLR 7 HL X OWB holster expecting a secure, well fitted Kydex holster. Unfortunately, the retention is extremely disappointing.
The firearm has little to no positive retention when inserted into the holster. There is no reassuring, secure lockup that I would expect from a quality Kydex holster, especially one designed specifically for the Hellcat Pro and TLR 7 HL X combination. Even after attempting to adjust the retention, the firearm simply does not feel securely held in place.
For an OWB holster, retention is one of the most important features. I need to have confidence that normal movement, getting in and out of a vehicle, or physical activity will not cause the firearm to shift or potentially come out of the holster.
The overall construction appears decent, but that means very little if the holster cannot securely retain the firearm it was specifically designed to carry. For the price and reputation of 4Bros, I expected a much better fit and considerably stronger retention.
Unless this is a defective holster that can be corrected or replaced, I cannot recommend it based on my experience.
Richard, it sounds like your holster may have been damaged in shipping. Our holsters don't leave the shop without passing a retetion check with the real pistol and light. Could you please email us a picture of your pistol and light lying next to the holster so we can start the return process? We need to get this fixed right away.
