The 1.5' belt slide is designed to provide a simple, low-profile attachment option, but attachment preferences vary from person to person. I'm sorry to hear it didn't work well for your setup.

This is a decent holster, but has some disappointing and frustrating flaws. I'd give 2.5 stars but that's not an option so I'd er on the side of try a different one. Pros: Well-formed to the pistol, solid and low profile. Cons: The two big issues are modwing integrated with the adjustable retention and no landing platform for the clips. My last holster had a nice flat spot so the clips sit evenly, and you can grip them with your fingertips easily. This has none so one of the clips sinks into the curvature of the holster and makes it very difficult to grip to put on and off. With the retention screw tight enough to secure the modwing, the retention is so tight it will damage your firearm's finish. When you loosen it, the modwing jostles around. I brought this to their attention via email and they said it's designed to wiggle some. I could find no good reason for it to be designed to wiggle, pointed that out along with the fact that it doesn't wiggle when it's tight, and got no further response. I think it's just a design flaw. They also offer a "law enforcement discount" which requires sending credentials which they respond to with a 10% off code, though you can readily find 10% off codes freely offered to anyone, so it seems they don't really offer a LE discount, they just make them do more to get the same discount as everyone else. I was between this and Muddy River and went with this for cost with the DCC clips which I ended up not liking, especially with no flat spot for them to sit flush, so if you're on the fence, I would try Muddy River or another. Otherwise, as I said it's decent, I think there are better options though.

To clarify, the slight movement of the Modwing is normal. The Modwing is mechanically attached to the holster shell using two eyelets, and a small amount of clearance is required for assembly. This movement does not affect the holster's performance.
