Maintenance Tip
To prevent lost screws during carry, we strongly recommend applying a removable thread locker (such as Loctite Blue 242) to each holster screw after setup.

Will this holster fit the M&P 9 Shield X with the thumb safety?
Yes. This holster is precision-molded for the Shield X so that it works with the Thumb Safety. It also works with the Shield X without the thumb safety.
Is this holster red dot compatible?
Absolutely. It’s cut to fit slide-mounted red dot optics like the Holosun 407k/507k, Shield RMSc, and similar sights.
Can I use this holster with a threaded barrel or compensator?
Yes. The open muzzle design allows for extended barrels and most compensators to pass through without obstruction.
What is a Modwing, and do I need it?
The Modwing is a concealment claw that pushes against the inside of your belt to rotate the grip closer to your body. It comes with two insert options to adjust the amount of pressure and concealment. It’s ideal for reducing printing, especially when carrying in the appendix position (AIWB).
How do I adjust retention or ride height?
You can tighten or loosen the retention screws to change the draw resistance. Ride height and cant are adjusted by changing the screw placement on the mounting slots.
Is this holster ambidextrous?
No, this model is right- or left-handed selectable at checkout.

Eldon Raines This is a decent holster, but has some disappointing and frustrating flaws. I'd give 2.5 stars but that's not an option so I'd er on the side of try a different one. Pros: Well-formed to the pistol, solid and low profile. Cons: The two big issues are modwing integrated with the adjustable retention and no landing platform for the clips. My last holster had a nice flat spot so the clips sit evenly, and you can grip them with your fingertips easily. This has none so one of the clips sinks into the curvature of the holster and makes it very difficult to grip to put on and off. With the retention screw tight enough to secure the modwing, the retention is so tight it will damage your firearm's finish. When you loosen it, the modwing jostles around. I brought this to their attention via email and they said it's designed to wiggle some. I could find no good reason for it to be designed to wiggle, pointed that out along with the fact that it doesn't wiggle when it's tight, and got no further response. I think it's just a design flaw. They also offer a "law enforcement discount" which requires sending credentials which they respond to with a 10% off code, though you can readily find 10% off codes freely offered to anyone, so it seems they don't really offer a LE discount, they just make them do more to get the same discount as everyone else. I was between this and Muddy River and went with this for cost with the DCC clips which I ended up not liking, especially with no flat spot for them to sit flush, so if you're on the fence, I would try Muddy River or another. Otherwise, as I said it's decent, I think there are better options though.

To clarify, the slight movement of the Modwing is normal. The Modwing is mechanically attached to the holster shell using two eyelets, and a small amount of clearance is required for assembly. This movement does not affect the holster's performance.

Chill Will Drums Four Brothers' great reputation is well-deserved, in my opinion. The holster is a perfect fit for the weapon, it's lightweight but strong, and allows for a full grip on the weapon while drawing and reholstering. It came with the larger wing installed, but I decided to utilize the smaller one, and it carries very effortlessly for me. I have regretted numerous holster purchases through the years, but absolutely not in this case. Thanks very much!

Nathan Washam Perfect fit every single time. Only holster I f with. If your looking for a holster for any gun four brothers is a legit American made product. I carry AIWB, have 3 holsters for 3 different carries depending on conditions and each one is as perfect as the first.
