Custom-fit IWB holster designed for the M&P 9 Shield X and the Streamlight 1913 versions of the TLR-8 Sub weapon-mounted lights. This holster is engineered for secure retention, comfortable concealed carry, and a low-profile design.
The holster is red dot compatible, Modwing ready, and optimized for discreet everyday carry.
Compatibility
This holster is precision-molded to fit the Shield X and Shield X with Thumb Safety. It is designed for the 1913 versions of the TLR-8 Sub, TLR-8 X Sub, or TLR-8 HL-X Sub using the #3 key mounted to the pistol.

IMPORTANT:
This holster requires the TLR-8 Sub 1913, TLR-8 X Sub 1913, or TLR-8 HL-X Sub 1913 mounted with the #3 key for proper fit. Retention is designed specifically around the attached light.

Maintenance Tip
To prevent screws from loosening, we recommend applying a removable thread locker (such as Loctite Blue 242) to all holster screws during initial setup.

Will this holster fit the M&P 9 Shield X with the thumb safety?
Yes. The holster is molded to fit both Shield X models, with or without the Thumb Safety.
Is this holster red dot compatible?
Yes. The holster profile is cut to clear most red dot sights, including optics that overhang the side of the slide.
How do I know if I have the correct Streamlight TLR-8 Sub version?
Check for “1913” printed on your light and confirm it uses the #3 key provided by Streamlight.
Can I use this holster with a threaded barrel or compensator?
Yes. The open muzzle design accommodates extended barrels and most compensators.
What is a Modwing, and do I need it?
The Modwing is a concealment claw that helps reduce printing by pressing the grip closer to your body. Two inserts are included for adjustable concealment pressure.
How do I adjust retention or ride height?
Retention screws allow adjustment of draw resistance. Ride height and cant are modified by changing the screw position in the mounting slots.
Is this holster ambidextrous?
No. Please select right- or left-handed orientation when ordering.

The quality is not bad, typical kydex holster but the clips are tight and won’t come off of your belt easily. I bought this IWB based upon all of the ads about it on social media and there weren’t alot of holsters out there for the new Shield X with a light and optic. When it arrived I knew I wasn’t going to use it because the sweat guard was high as heck and trying to carry this appendix position would stab me in the rib cage the minute I sat down. So I put it back in it’s packaging and tossed it into my junk drawer. Didn’t bother returning it because if one of my buddies buys a Shield X I’ll give it to them. I ended up buying a leather IWB holster and I forget that I’m carrying. I gave it 2 stars because of it’s quality but for me it’s functionality is useless.
The S&W shield X holster with the Stream Light TLR -8 does not allow the gun to sit as far down in the holster as the non stream light version of the holster allowed. The green-dot optic face is around 3/8" further away from the Kydex edge. The light/laser face bottom edge stops any further insertion inside the hoster. Not sure if that was intended.
Other issues are when placed in the appendix position the bottom edge of the holster pushes against my groin when sitting. I am 6ft tall. When moved to 4 o'clock position it is very hard to safely re-holster when my gun belt if snug enough to prevent excessive droop. Quality is good overall but just not very comfortable for EDC. Used to leather backed holsters from CrossBreed.
This is my first carry holster so I wanted to do it right. I researched several holster companies and chose you guys based on your excellent history, quality and great customer service. I will be coming back to purchase for my next holster's soon. Thank you.

I do wish it would have come with extra screws. Longe ones for the wing for addons. And ahorter ones. Incase I wanted to take the wing off all together. Only other option I would have e liked to see and purchase. Would have been cushions to eliminate any hot spots or sore spots.
