It’s a good holster but this is what they told me to get for the PDP f series and it’s not a perfect fit. The muzzle and light are an inch from the end of the holster , back of the trigger guard and mag released are exposed. Aside from that, the magazine holster fits my 15rd mags perfect but the 10rd mags are very loose. (It came with 2 15s and 2 10s)
This is a somewhat unusual use case for a G43X, but so far this appears to be an excellent holster. I bought it to replace a Safariland M17 setup on my battle belt, so I'm using the G43X as a hip-carried pistol rather than primarily for concealed carry.
My previous Safariland had multiple levels of active retention, and I was initially disappointed to discover how difficult it is to find that kind of retention for the G43X. Most holsters for this pistol are understandably designed around concealed carry. Four Brothers was the only company I found offering a configuration that worked with my existing Safariland mounting setup, and I'm very glad I found it.
Fit and construction are excellent. Retention is positive and surprisingly firm, with the holster indexing on the weapon light. The pistol seats securely and requires a deliberate pull to draw; it certainly doesn't feel loose or prone to simply falling out. My TLR-7 HL-X Sub and Holosun 407K fit perfectly with no interference.
That said, buyers coming from a duty-style Safariland should understand the distinction between strong passive retention and active Level II/III retention. There is no secondary locking mechanism or thumb-operated hood. For normal range and belt use, the passive retention feels excellent. For extremely physical use—fighting, crawling, climbing over obstacles, or situations where weapon retention against another person is a concern—I would personally prefer an additional active retention device. That's not a criticism of something Four Brothers claims this holster provides; it's simply a feature I would love to see offered in the future.
As shown in the photos, the holster color isn't an exact match for my Safariland components, and my mount is black. If you're extremely particular about matching shades of FDE/coyote, that's worth knowing.
There is also some additional room at the muzzle because the holster accommodates the Glock 48. That appears promising for anyone considering a Radian Ramjet/Afterburner on a G43X, although I have not yet personally verified that fit, so I wouldn't claim compatibility until I've tested it.
Overall, I'm extremely pleased. Four Brothers gave me a well-made, optic- and light-compatible G43X holster that allowed me to keep using my existing battle-belt mounting system when I was having considerable trouble finding another option. If they ever offer a version with a spring-loaded thumb hood or other active-retention option, I'd be very interested. As the product is actually designed and sold, though, five stars and I would absolutely buy it again.
The light fits the G43X perfectly and as advertised The holster gets purchased on the light not the gun no complaints here on fit.
The light itself was simple to install comes with rechargeable battery which is nice including accessories to charge it and the buttons were customizable and easy to change I'm left-handed and so I switched the paddle so that I can get my trigger finger in from the left side without being interfered with. The features are straightforward once you play with them press and hold and the light comes on as long as you hold press forward once with a click the light stays on. Lumens seem powerful.
Product fit perfectly and adjusted to my liking. Good quality kydex.
