The orientation of this holster is completely off. From the moment I tried to seat my PDP Compact, it was obvious the alignment wasn’t right. The way the gun sits inside forces it at an awkward angle, which makes both holstering and drawing feel unnatural and clunky. Instead of a smooth, straight draw, you have to fight the positioning just to get the firearm out.
Because of the poor internal orientation, the front iron sights were rubbing against the inside every time I tried to draw. That’s how they ended up getting nicked. A properly designed holster should guide the firearm in and out cleanly, not twist it or create unnecessary friction points.
Between the incorrect fit and the flawed orientation, this holster feels poorly designed and not suited for a PDP Compact at all. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
I would absolutely not recommend this holster. It is way too tight and clearly not designed to properly fit a PDP Compact. The retention is excessive to the point that drawing the firearm is extremely difficult, which completely defeats the purpose of a functional holster.
Worse, my front iron sights actually got nicked because of how poorly this holster accommodates the gun. A holster should protect your firearm, not damage it.
If you’re considering buying this, don’t. There are far better options out there that won’t risk damaging your equipment or compromising your draw.
The holster fit great!
Haven’t had it for very long, but the construction is great and retains my XTen Comp very well. The material feels strength and the little double belt clip is odd at first but seems like it will hold up, too.
I wish there were more flashlight options, but so far so good. Also it shipped and got here pretty fast.
Great fit, not too big. The monoblock clips are very secure. I recommend the holster and would buy it again. Shipping was reasonably fast.
