So I'll start by saying the holster is well constructed and fits me great, it fits my M&P 2.0 carry comp with an optic perfect. A few beware to buyers I wish I had read before I got it, the mono block belt clips work 150% so great in fact that if your getting into a car and removing your holster you have to physically undue your belt and slid the holster off. Trying to lift the mono clip by the bottom and lift the holster off your belt is nearly impossible, so probably great for drawing your weapon not so great if you running errand's and your in and out of your the car all day. Same with the modwing, once you have it on it pushes right on the backside of your belt and cants the gun so you print way less. The downside for me was it gets caught on the inside of your pants, so removing the holster to sit down in the car while trying not to be super obvious that your removing your concealed carry whilst in the Kroger parking lot is very hard to do with this holster. It performed flawlessly at the range rides nice and high easy to draw from strong side or appendix so no problems there. I loosened the retention just a bit from out of the box and I'm happy overall with it. Just know that if your in and out of the car a lot and you carry appendix this will be a bit of a challenge.
Well built holster made from good materials. The left side slide lock lever on my M&P metal carry comp sticks out pretty far and it drags on the inside of the holster making it very hard to draw the gun, so I used a dremel to open up the factory channel in the holster allowing more room for the slide lock. Now I can draw the gun better after setting the tension on the screws on the holster.
I got this thing back in June & it has proven to be extremely versatile. I wear sweat pants a lot & this holster has no problem staying secure & comfortable at 3 o'clock. Drawing & reholstering is a breeze, my pistol locks in & stays snug. You have to be deliberate about your draw & I like that.
Love the holster. Solid build, good retention.
Just wish they made it light bearing. That was the only thing I was disappointed about because I normally run lights on my carry guns.
Hey Justin, we have light-bearing options available for the M&P Metal. Let us know what light you are using, we might be able to help.
